Vitaly Kachelya has broad experience in advising international clients on Belarusian legal matters. He advised in many significant international transactions taking place in Belarus in recent years including privatizations, mergers and acquisitions, real estate projects, investment projects, debt and equity financing, project finance, private equity, etc. Recent projects include:
Currently advising Arabian trading company specializing in dairy, chemical, steel and oil products on financing matters, including multiple issues of private equity investment, loan financing and tax optimization;
Advised a major international investment fund and an international financial organization on a mezzanine finance transaction with aggregate amount of loan up to EUR 12 million which is to be granted to the holding company of a manufacturing group;
Advised Axis Industries on proposed acquisition of a 50 percent plus one share stake in the big construction open joint-stock company;
Advised Group Franck Muller (G.F.M) Watchland S.A. in the course of privatisation of the Minsk Factory of Clocks – maker of the famous 'Luch' brand watches, including structuring the transaction, tax structuring, drafting the investment agreement;
Advised lithuanian investment banking and private equity group in Central and Eastern Europe, regarding price formation for high-scale construction project of the first modern-built DIY hypermarket in Belarus valued at more than 12 million dollars with the total area of 8,600 sq.m.
